All contractors working with ProGas and Heating Services must be insured and bonded and maintain a current LGA contractor licence in good standing as-well-as a valid CGA, “B” Gas fitter license.
All our contractors must maintain a current contractor’s bond of no less than $10,000 and Commercial General Liability Coverage to be written on a comprehensive basis with inclusive limits of at least $5,000,000.
For additional service(s) beyond, that which was originally booked by PGHS’s Customer Service Dept, ProGas and Heating Services does not regulate pricing related to what our contractors may quote or charge a PGHS customer. This includes but is not limited to repairs, Installations, Parts and Labor or any additional items not herein list.
PGHS fully warranties and stands behind all prices quoted and booked through our Customer Service department only.
Why PGHS does not get involved in pricing between our contractors and customers for additional service(s)
The most obvious being… PGHS is not on site, our contractor is, so we are unable to fairly evaluate what extra work is needed, determine pricing for parts and labor, and discuss it with you. (for on-the-job approval). Like you, PGHS heavily relies upon the contractors overall conduct, honesty and fairness when determining additional work and the cost.
Our service techs are not employees, they are business people whom have contracted to PGHS to service PGHS’s customers and as such these independent entities carry a heavier burden of accountability for there work performance and quality, than that of an employee. Thus there is an inalienable right of self-determination as to how much these self-employed people feel there services are worth, as well as the inalienable right of our PGHS customer(s) to either accept or refuse said service(s)

Like our customers, ProGas and Heating Services, expects professionalism, integrity, honesty, and strong moral character from the contractors that service. Sadly, and far too often, these important requirements have been missing from the contractors listed below. ProGas and Heating Services has paid the price both financially and by loss of reputation because of the poor conduct of these people, we have lost highly valued customers while these guys slip away to anonymity. We believe it is in the public’s interest that we expose these characters for the predatory and dishonest people we have witnessed them to be, while emphasizing we in no way endorse the behavior you are about to learn of.

Canadian Pacific Heating and Plumbing Inc – Sadegh Amiri aka “Sam”
Brief overview of Sadegh Amiri (This guy is as dishonest as they come)
As reported by our customers and upon PGHS’s personal experiences and subsequent investigation, PGHS has proven this contractor to be a dishonest, manipulative and predatory conman. Amiri on multiple occasions upsold customers, parts and repairs that were not needed, grossly over charged for parts and repairs, targeted elderly customers, lied and manipulated about events to escape accountability , did not report all part sales and repairs to PGHS, said servicing was not done when it was, Pocketed the money for himself, lied to customers about methods of payment for servicing in order to receive cash, sold customers various new appliances and installed said appliances without telling PGHS and pocketed the money for himself.
In 2023, PGHS sued Sadegh Amiri; Jamileh Salimi (Amiri’s wife) and Canadian Pacific Heating and Plumbing Inc (The Defendants) Registry File Number. ROB-P-C-2372627
In 2024, the Defendants, after reviewing the mountain of evidence assembled against them, chose to settle the lawsuit.
In 2024 PGHS returned $860 to an 84 years old senior citizen, Ms. Brown, that had gone without heat in her Gas Fireplace for a year because Amiri had sold her $860 in unnecessary repairs. The fireplace worked fine before Amiri got his hands on it. Ms. Brown kicked this conman out of her home after he tried to sell her a wall switch for her fire place for a further $250 which could have been purchased from Home Depot for $2.50.
Amiri did not report to PGHS, Ms. Brown had been serviced, instead telling PGHS the job was not done. Amiri kept Ms. Browns $860 for himself.
It was a year later when Ms. Browns Daughter called PGHS seeking answers did PGHS discover Amiri’s predatory conduct. We sent a trusted contractor to Ms. Brown’s home to find that Amiri had disconnected the wire to the wall switch and there was nothing wrong.
